Value One and MILESTONE Student Living open 219 apartments in Aachen West

The new MILESTONE Aachen West represents a highlight right in the student heart of the city. With a total of 290 apartments and 133 garage parking spaces, the new building will more than quadruple the previous capacity. "What is special about this project is the combination of monument and new building. MILESTONE has succeeded in realizing an extraordinary combination and, through the completion of the project, in bundling the activities in the areas of student living and serviced apartments under one roof." Gym, Club Room and Learning Lounges 

The new MILESTONE Aachen West will offer a variety of special facilities for young professionals and students. The community areas such as the gym, the learning lounges and the club room are located in the new building, but can be used equally by all residents. A resident manager and a house technician are available to the residents. MILESTONE's all-in concept offers fully furnished, functional apartments with private bathrooms and kitchens as well as operating costs and use of the community areas. 

Special ownership structure with rental pool

Another special feature of this project is the ownership structure. This is because the apartments were sold individually and the owners can choose to participate in the tenant pool and have MILESTONE rent out the apartments. "This innovative form of exploitation offers an attractive way for buyers to participate in a project without having to incur large expenses in managing the property. We realize high-quality projects and MILESTONE offers a wide range of services for owners and tenants," said Andreas Köttl, CEO of Value One.

"Good Shepherd" as the heart of the project

The starting point for MILESTONE Aachen West was the revitalization of the listed former monastery building "Guter Hirte" which already opened in 2019 and offers 71 residential units. "The project is a milestone for Aachen and for us as project developers," said Stefan Knafl, managing director of "Guter Hirte," a joint venture of Value One Group from Vienna and Ideal Wohnen from Cologne. "The project is the "Gateway to Campus West", the largest inner-city campus development area in NRW, which will be realized step by step by the Reinisch Westfälisch Technische Hochschule RWTH from 2023. Together, we will contribute to the further positive development of the location and the university of excellence."
